She was predeceased by: her parents, William F. Cummings and Ethel W. Cummings of Mayo, MD.; her grandson Steven Payne; and her pet Max. She is survived by: her spouse Jesse Lee Dickerson; and her children, Karen Stewart (Rob), Sharon Payne (Garry), Steve Dickerson and Kathi Figgs. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
