It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Walter Tapman (Snow Hill, Maryland), born in Hallwood, Virginia, who passed away on March 26, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Tapman and Lois Wessells Tapman; and his sister Pat Verbeck. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Mariner Tapman; his sons, William B. "Billy" Tapman (Karen) of New Church, VA, James Walter II and Rickie Dean Tapman (Aedron Lee "Toby" Tapman) of Salisbury, MD; his stepdaughters, Debbie Holland of Pocomoke City, Penny Tilghman (Danny) of Berlin and Susan Lewis (Bob) of Pocomoke City; his brother-in-law Bill Verbeck; his daughter Tammy Hudson (David); and his grandchild Rebecca. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Snow Hill Fire Department, Snow Hill, MD 21863 or to Encompass Rehabilitation Center, 220 Tilghman Road, Salisbury, MD 21804.
