He is survived by: his wife Grace Holloman Serman; his siblings, Betty Ann Bozman of Pat Mulligan, Bill Serman of Maryland and Joseph "Tuey" Serman of Maryland; his children, Chris Serman (Jerri) of Tyler, AL, Bobby Serman (Kelly) of Wetumpka, AL, Jerry Serman (Mary) of Tuscaloosa, AL and Larry Serman (Terri) of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren, Clint Serman of Jacksonville, FL, Mallory Serman of Montgomery, AL, Lauren Prince (Jason) of Hayward, WI, Amber Lyon (Davey) of Tyler, AL, Haley Mott (Adam) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Chase Serman of Jacksonville, FL, Sarah Serman (Jacob Young) of Montgomery, AL and John Serman of Tuscaloosa, AL; and his sister Springs Baptist Church. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
