He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen F. Butler and Martha E. Butler; his siblings, Orville, Charles Butler, Edna Beauchamp and Adele Kelly; his nephews, Gerald Lee Beauchamp, John Henry Beauchamp, Charles "Billy" Tingle and Bruce Bond Kelly; and his grandson Spencer Butler Wiersberg.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Butler; his daughters, Gerrie Wiersberg (Richard) and Diane Waller (Brian); and his grandchildren, Samantha Wiersberg and Robert Waller.
In lieu of flowers, people are invited to make donations in his memory to Friends of Spencer Wiersberg care of Fruitland Police Department located at 208 S Division Street, Fruitland, MD 21826. Alternately, donations can be made to Coastal Hospice at PO Box 1733 Salisbury, MD 21802.
