He was predeceased by: his parents, John Davis and Lottie Shrieves Davis; his wife Jeanette M. Sterling Davis; his siblings, Irene Daugherty and Thorbourn Davis; his parents-in-law, Ernest and Aleitha Sterling; his brother-in-law John Henry Sterling; and his niece Lynn Adkins.
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Teeny Landon, Tiny Dize and Martha Davis; his nieces and nephews, Erin Catron, Lauren Greenhalgh, Chris Adkins and David Davis; and his goddaughter Lea Ann Parkinson Leslie. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and relatives.
