He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Burt Tingle Sr. and Mildred Phillips Tingle; his brother Melvin Tingle; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Robinson Tingle and Ethan A. "Mutt" Kenney.
He is survived by: his children, Joel Tingle (Trisha) of Salisbury and Jill Walston (Randy) of Allen; his siblings, Elmer "Bob" Tingle, Jr. of Delmar and Eleanor Tingle Kenney of Salisbury; his grandchildren, Brooke, Sienna Tingle of Salisbury, Hannah, Caleb and Meredith Walston of Allen; and his niece June Rachels (Rod) of Palm Coast, FL..
