He was predeceased by: his daughters, Sonya Jackson and Renee Oden; his siblings, Robert Lee Gross and Ellen M. Barnes; and his sister-in-law Paula Drake (Denny).
He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Gross; his children, Craig O. Gross (Monét) and Tamaira J. Boynes (Harold); his son-in-law Glenden Jackson; his siblings, Kenneth Gross (Shirley), Chester Gross (Ruth) and Elaine Fowler; his brother-in-law Douglas Barnes; his grandchildren, Chantira Gross, Kayla Gross, Deija Boynes, Bria Boynes, Christopher Jackson, Sr., Matthew Jackson and Chelsea Jackson; his niece Melissa Gwaltney-Wilder; and his goddaughter Dominique J. Barnes. He is also survived by nephews, other nieces, cousins, church family, and friends.
