He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund A. Childs, Sr. and Cecilia Ogetta Faust Childs; his wife Dorothy C. Childs; and his brother John A. Childs, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Renee Olivia Childs, Oliver B. Childs, Jr. (Susan) and Sean V. Childs; his brother Edmund A. Childs, Jr. (Alma); his grandchildren, Kia C. Johnson (Wayne), Andre B. Childs (Hanna) and Douglas J. Lewis II (Samantha); and his great grandchildren, Raegan A. Clark, Cameron O. Johnson, Zoe M. Johnson, Andre B. Childs, Jr. and Remy N. Lewis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
