He is survived by: his close friend Norman Oliver; his wife Helen Mitchell; his children, Frank Jones (Priscilla) of Salisbury, Melissa Johnson (Melvin) of Salisbury and Victoria Johnson (Karlos Gamble) of Eden, Maryland; his siblings, Amy Jeannette Robinson, James Schuman Mitchell (Linda) of Salisbury and Sandra Smith of Baltimore; and his sister-in-law Emma Mitchell of West Virginia. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
