He was predeceased by: his parents, Byard Whaley Collins Sr. and Georgia Lee Collins (Cannon); and his brother Raymond Collins. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Disharoon Collins; his children, Amanda Dawn Collins (John Lankford) and Heath Collins; his pets, Cali, River and Merle; and his niece Dena Ibarra-Collins (Adolfo Ibarra).
