Margaret Louise Gates Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 7, 2021, at the age of 95, Margaret Louise Gates of Port Tobacco, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Franklin Thorne, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Scheer Thorne; her husband Ernest "Jimmy" Gates; and her siblings, George Franklin Thorne, Jr., Zelda Johnson and Elsie Ruth Thorne.
She is survived by: her children, Phylis Gail Gates of Upper Marlboro, MD and George Philip Gates (Lincoln) of Lancaster, VA; and her siblings, Dorothy Roland of Hollywood, MD, Wilma Tinsley of Harrisonburg, VA and Robert Thomas Thorne (Ruth) of Charlotte Hall, MD. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Face masks are required for all services and social distancing will be observed with limited attendance.
