He was predeceased by: his parent James Tilghman of Pocomoke City, MD.; and his son James E. Tilghman. He is survived by: his parent Jessie Tilghman of Pocomoke City, MD.; his wife Debra Harrison-Tilghman; his children, Lori Wheeler, Michael Tilghman, Kerri Tilghman, Rick Tilghman and Jessica Douglas; and his grandchildren, John, Mandy, Joey, Rachel, Madison, Jenna, Mia, Josie, Raegan Dr and Donald M..
