He was predeceased by: his sister Sharon Shaywitz; and his parents, Jean Laufer and Jacob Laufer. He is survived by: his children, Ilene Smith (Lee), Sherri Laufer Dewey, Rachel Stock (Grant), David Laufer and Adura Peters; his brother George Laufer (Lynne); and his grandchildren, Haley Smith, Bailey Smith, Rebecca Dewey, Isabella Dewey, Abigail Dewey, Gabrielle Stock, Jacqueline Stock, Julia Laufer and Jacob Laufer.
