He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" Rafter and Anne "Nan" Rafter. He is survived by: his wife Anne; his children, John Rafter of Nashville, TN, Melissa Oak (Andy) of Ellicott City, MD, David Rafter (Andrea) of Towson, MD, Timothy (Beth) of Los Angeles, CA, Rebecca Sancomb (Danny) of Wheeling, WV, Mark Rafter of Pasadena, MD, Mary Rafter of Pasadena, MD and Sarah Mack (David) of Severna Park, MD.; and his sisters, Suzanne Zukoski and Meg Zinkham (Dave). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
