He was predeceased by: his parents, John Baxter Sr. and Rosa Mitchell Baxter of Harmony Station; his son Jimmie O. Baxter; and his brother John Baxter, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Dinita Thomas Baxter; his siblings, Roosevelt Baxter Sr. of Landover, Ida Baxter Brice of Rock Hill, SC, Fannie Baxter Hunt of Rock Hill, SC and Emma B. Thompson of Ballston Lake, NY.; his siblings-in-law, Carlos M. Thompson of Ballston Lake, NY., Vincent Thomas of Washington, DC., Dorothy Moore Baxter of Rock Hill, Donna Thomas and Kim Cannon of Washington, DC; and his friends, Theodes Barnette of Rock Hill and James Knox of Landover, MD.. He is also survived by five children, sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
