He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow H. Unger and Mary Effland Unger; his granddaughter Heather R. Anderson; his daughters-in-law, Tina Y. Unger and Billie Jo Unger; his sister Linda Sue Golden; and his mother-in-law J. Louise Reed.
He is survived by: his spouse Dovona R. Unger; his son Kevin D. Unger (Falling Waters); his grandchildren, Kevin B. Unger and Amber L. Hixon; his great grandchildren, Caden Hixon, Devon Hixon, Hunter Hixon, Emily Unger, Katie Unger, Junalexis Anderson, Jeremy Anderson, Jr. and Dallas Anderson; and his siblings, Barbara K. Horsburgh, Shirley D. Michael, JoAnn A. Schetrompf, Rodney L. Unger and Michael L. Unger. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
