He is survived by: his children, Ciara Marie Hess of Ocean City and Shawn John Hess of Taneytown; and his siblings, Emeline Golden of Virginia, Margaret Fay "Maggie" Kump, Joseph Levi Hess, Samuel Coe Hess and Edward Bruce Hess.
