He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Francis Shives II and Julia Josephine Bohrer Shives; and his sister Francine Elbin. He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Inez Redick Shives; his children, Emlynn Spencer Shives (Megan) of Berkeley Springs and Dylan Alexander Shives (Krista) of Berkeley Springs; his grandchildren, Jackson Spencer Shives of Berkeley Springs, Emery Starr Shives of Berkeley Springs and Lincoln Alexander Shives of Berkeley Springs; and his brother Robert Francis Shives III of Hancock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
