He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryan DeShong and Mary Marguerite DeShong (Schetrompf). He is survived by: his spouse Rosela M. "Kitty" DeShong (Rhodes); his children, Joyce A. Ganley (David) of Hagerstown, Tammy K. Greer of Hagerstown, Laura L. Mainhart of Damascus, Kelly M. Rohrer (Mark) of Rohresville, Angela L. Kline (Jeremy) of Smithsburg and Sonny L. Palmer of Keedysville; and his siblings, Betty Jane Brill of New Holland and Paul R. DeShong of Pennsburg. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
