She is survived by: her sister Jean Payne; her children, Rashidah Herbert Kelly Islam and Hassan Herbert; and her grandchildren, Ameerah, Akil Jr., DeVon, Ruquaiyah, Jamill, DeShawn, Marisol, Brittany, Marquis, Imani, Ashley, Jada, Jordan, Hassan and Kahlil.
