It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Eugene Horst of Hagerstown, Maryland, born in Maugansville, Maryland, who passed away on October 18, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel H. Horst and Florence Horst (Lehman); his former wife Elsie Mae Horst; his son Lynn Elwood Horst; and his brother Charles Lester Horst.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Marie Horst; his children, Darla Mae Mellott (Scott), DeWayne Eugene Horst (Connie), Arlin Lee Horst and Leavitt Ray Horst, Sr.; and his brother Richard Daniel Horst (Anna Mae). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
