He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Durboraw and Dorothy Giffin Durboraw; his daughter Kristy Hoke; his siblings, William Durboraw, Lorraine Dorsey, Margaret Yost and Nathan Durboraw; his nephew William "Billy" Durboraw Jr.; and his niece Tina Dawson.
He is survived by: his close friend Darlena Wallech; his son Gary Durboraw Jr. (Octavia); and his siblings, Dennis Durboraw, Maydean Taylor and Rayetta Hoffman. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
