He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Joseph Mattson Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth; his brother Michael Harry; his wife Mary Helen Mattson; his children, Christopher Mattson (Jameson), Susan Terry (Jesse) and Nicholas Mattson (Nathalie); his grandchildren, Natalie Mattson, Nathan Terry, Peyton Mattson and Katelyn Terry; and his niece Theresa Mattson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, in remembrance of his compassionate spirit and lifelong dedication to helping others.
