He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Maria Arias and Maria Argelia Lara; and his siblings, Joseph Arias, Marta Marina Arias-Mendoza, Tomas Arias (Tito) and Roberto Antonio Arias.

He is survived by: his wife Ana Leila Arias; his daughters, Vanessa Arias, Daniela Guerrero Arias, Amanda Lewis and Glendi Valenciabonilla; and his siblings, Dario Arias, Haydee Escobar, Gloria Arias, Milagro Lemus, Estebana Arias (Teba), Mery Arias, Kela Arias, Aleyda Perez and Carmen Arias. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
