He was predeceased by: his parents, Atlee Schildt and Mary Schildt (Wolfe); his wife Elsie Mae Schildt; and his brothers, Howard Atlee Schildt and Carroll L. Schildt.
He is survived by: his sister Martha Y. Snyder (Ernest); and his children, Luann P. Schildt (Henry), Elsie V. Grimes (James), Lisa A. Snoots (Harvey), Howard A. Schildt-Houle (Jeremy) and Harold W. Schildt, Jr.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
