He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Manuel M. Weinberg and Sylvia S. Weinberg; his children, Rand Weinberg (Pam), Shelley Weinberg (Helga Varden) and Tod Weinberg; his grandchildren, Amelia Weinberg, Cody Weinberg, Madison Weinberg, Rebecca Weinberg, Sarah Weinberg and Sherby Weinberg; his sister Kathryn Levi; and his caregivers, Savannah Modine and Cheryl Young. He was also cherished by three great-grandchildren.

David's philanthropic contributions to the Frederick community were also broad and generous.
