She was predeceased by: her husband Osborne Francis Wachter, Jr.; her parents, Russell Lawson Smith and Nellie Gilbert Smith; her siblings, Ruth Shapard, Janice Hamlin and Michael Smith; and her son-in-law Francis W. Potts, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Wachter of Middletown, David Wachter (Pam) of Middletown and Brian Wachter of Jefferson; her grandchildren, Nicole Wachter of Jefferson, Nathan Wachter (Mary) of Leesburg, Craig Wachter (Aubrey) of Jefferson and Rachel Wachter of Middletown; her great grandchildren, John and James Wachter of Leesburg; her grandchildren, Rowan and Brynn Wachter of Jefferson; her sisters, Barbara Ohler of Middletown and Doris Adkins (Woodie) of Cedarburg, WI; and her siblings-in-law, Vickie Smith of Hagerstown and Donald Hamlin of Linthicum. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
