He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Joseph and Catherine Elizabeth Massey (Titsworth); his wife Patricia A. Massey (Lester); and his siblings, Betty Claggett, Howard Massey, III and Charles Massey.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer M. McLeroy and Katherine A. Massey; and his siblings, Linda K. Barret, George Edward Massey, Anna C. Miller and Hazel Jean Reed.
