He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Pierce and Dorothy Gill Pierce; his wife Deborah Hendricks Pierce; his daughter Sara Milburn; and his siblings, Cecil Pierce III and Nancy Pierce.

He is survived by: his sisters, Dorothy Simpers of Virginia Beach, VA and Patricia Jolley of Elkton, MD; his grandchildren, Coleman, Jackson and Addison Janusz; and his son-in-law David Milburn.
