With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clifford L. Penland of Elkton, Maryland, born in McComas, West Virginia, who passed away on December 20, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Obadiah Penland and Celeia Penland; his wife Margaret Ann Penland (Fabinski); and his son Randy Penland. He is survived by: his children, Patricia "Susie" Adkins (Steve) of Elkton, MD, Mildred Ward (Dar) of Charlestown, MD, Gary Penland (Lynn) of Bluefield, WV, Danny Penland (Samantha) of Bluefield, WV and Bobby Penland (Michelle) of Bear, DE; and his sister Thelma Mae Carbaugh of Bluefield, WV. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
