She was predeceased by: her parents, Omar Shoffner and Bessie Hale Whitt; her siblings, Hassie Viola Ratliff, Atwood, Junior, Kelsey and Garmon Whitt; and her close friend Arvil "Bud" Blankenship.
She is survived by: her children, Peggy Harris (Roger) of Asheboro, Steve Whitt, Sr. (Tracy) of Elkton and Robin Mosier (Chris) of Perryville, Maryland; her grandchildren, Amanda Stoneman (Steven), Jamie Terry (Rob), Steve Whitt, Jr., Nikki Grady, Stephanie Whitt, Allison Sexton (Josh), Casey Whitt and Amber Coleman (Jeremy); and her son Buddy Blankenship (Betty). She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
