She was predeceased by: her parents, George H. Collick and Eliza E. Collick. She is survived by: her former husband Roland Lester Purnell; her spouse Emerson Gale; her children, Selina Dickerson of Owings Mills, MD, Oscar L. Purnell of Perryville, MD, Cornella J. Harmon (Gerald) of Fruitland, MD and Lawrence H. Purnell Sr. (Dionne) of Seaford, DE; her daughter-in-law Sara Purnell of Salisbury, MD; her sisters, Elsie Purnell of Snow Hill, MD and Marian Jeannette Johnson (Wesley) of New Rochelle, NY; and also, Carol Wilson (Lawrence), Brenda Moore, Carlton Mills and Henry Polk (Skeeter). She is also survived by many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
