He was predeceased by: his parents, Linwood Shockley and Lula Mae Shockley. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Jane Shockley; his children, Melissa Smith (Joe), Malinda McClain (Shaun) and Gus Shockley; his nephew Brandon Hook; his niece Nicole Gordy; his grandchildren, Melanie Smith, J. T. Smith, Macie Smith and Ryan McClain; his siblings, Linda Wainwright, Lisa Hook and Michael Shockley (Steve); and his friend Billy McInturff (Debbie).
