He was predeceased by: his parents, Monzel Collins Sr. and Eva Collins (Goodwin); and his brothers, Monzel, Jr., Jim, Sr., Allen, Sr. and Ted Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Collins (Hardman); his children, Shelle Buckley (Lem) and John Collins, Jr.; his grandchildren, Chloe, Camden Buckley, Olivia Martin and Aryiah Collins; his siblings, Mark Collins (Kathy), Marcy DeVore (Ronald), Mary Jane Beatty and Jackie Lindsay (David, Sr.); and his sisters-in-law, Barb and Pauline Collins. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Adams Family Funeral Home (404 Decatur St, Cumberland, MD 21502). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to UPMC-Western Maryland Hospice Services, 1050 W. Industrial Blvd., Cumberland, MD 21502.
