He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Thomas Shank and Helen Christina Shank (Helser); his wife Retha Jane Shank (Hovermale); and his siblings, Jane Davis, Thomas and Jack Shank.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Fiorita, Kim Burtner, Salina Shank, William Jr., Gary and Kevin Shank; and his brothers, Robert and Eugene Shank. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
