He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maria Fernandes; his sons, Jose Carlos, Paulo and Julio Fernandes; his grandchildren, Owen, Reed, Portia, Laila, Georgia and Quentin; and his siblings, Americo Fernandes, Prazeres Garcia, Joao Fernandes, Jose Fernandes, Ilda Batista and Laurinda Fernandes.
