He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Smith and Rosalie Ohler; and his sister Irene Newman. He is survived by: his wife Mary E. Smith "Betty"; his stepmother Beatrice Smith; his siblings, Bill Bell, Harry Sadler, Pearl Riley and George Smith; and his children, Frank L. Smith, Roy W. Smith, Rosemarie A. Morrow and Tinkerbell Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
