She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Cameron and Frances Cameron. She is survived by: her husband James Sterling; her sons, James Sterling, III (Kim) and Michael Sterling; and her grandchildren, Kaylee and Luke Sterling. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Carol's family wishes donations to be made to the American Lung Association.
