He is survived by: his wife Dotty; his children, Martha Baker (Allan), Mark, Kevin (Susan), Keith (Christy) and Kent (Juergen); his grandchildren, Kelly Dixon (Ronnie), Bobby Crotty, Claire Vallowe (Shawn), Keith Wayne Crotty, Jr. and Sean Crotty (Bernadette); his great grandchildren, Kendall Dixon, Kamryn Dixon, Isabella Crotty, Elliana Crotty, Connor Crotty, Noah Vallowe, Owen Vallowe, Ethan Crotty and Edward Crotty; and his great great grandchild Melanie Willen.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be sent to the Robert B. and Dorothy L. Crotty Endowed Scholarship Fund at the University of Maryland.
