She was predeceased by: her parents, Emerson Hughes and Grace Willey Hughes; her husband John Kelly; her son James Clark Phippin, Sr.; her granddaughter Heavenly Phippin; and her siblings, Charles Hughes and Virginia Rathel.

She is survived by: her children, Shirley Magana (Jim) of Glen Mills, PA and Tammy Phippin Linton (Charlie) of Salisbury, MD.; her siblings, Shirley Marine of Salisbury, Norman Hughes (Carol) of Salisbury, Leroy Hughes of Hurlock and Louise Thomas; and her great grandchildren, Justin, Meghan, Alyssa Worster, Bethany Watson, Jacob, Chase and Sara Phippin.

Donations may be given in her name to Coastal Hospice or the Wicomico County Humane Society.
