It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin Zacharias Benson (Bushwood, Maryland), born in Pensacola, Florida, who passed away on March 1, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Isaac Benson and Hazel Turberville Benson; and his sisters, Hazel Kathleen Benson (FL) and Elizabeth Caledonia "Cal" Benson Cowell of Sheffield, PA. He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie McWilliams; his children, Ann Marie Benson Ameye, William "Bill" Patrick Benson, David Austin Benson of Cartersville, GA and Marian Rose Benson Wright of Acworth, GA; his grandchildren, Samantha Shelby Benson (Andrew Christopher Benson), Jackson George Ameye (Sarah Ann Ameye Mazzarella), Caitlyn Rose Wright (GA) and Zachary Aaron Wright (Dominic Duncan Wright); and his great grandchildren, Grason Thomas Mazzarella (GA) and James Michael Ameye (GA). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
