She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Hedgepeth and Mary Lyons Hedgepeth Clemons; her husband Clarence Edmonds; her siblings, Roberta Wilson, Olivia Ricks, Leola Battle, David, James and Robert Lee Hedgepeth; and her children, Bertha Mae Banks and Charles Westry, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Gloria Jean Davis, Annie Lois Westry, Jayne Felton (Walter), Kenneth Westary (Benée), Marcus Battle (Mary Jane), Rona Battle and Jason Battle; and her brother Jeremiah Hedgepeth (Carolyn).

A wake was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Chatman-Harris Funeral Home (5305 Harford Rd, Baltimore, MD 21214). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
