He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Simms and Stacey Height. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Simms; his children, Thomas Simms (Arlene), Tonia Stansbury (Chianti Sr.) and Latasha Beckles (Shane Sr.); his grandchildren, Jalen Cornish, Shaquille Simms, Chianti Stansbury Jr., Nijae Beckles and Shane Beckles Jr.; his great grandchild Chance Cornish; his sister-in-law Patricia Foote; and his niece Gresilda Collins.
