She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Abol Ghassem Bakhtiar and Helen Jeffreys Bakhtiar, RN of Weiser, Idaho.; her former husband Frederick Vallette McNair, III; her son John Marshall McNair; and her grandsons, George Frederick McNair, Ian Haislip McNair and Vincent McNair van Dillen.
She is survived by: her spouse Naval Officer (Frederick Vallette McNair, III); her children, Frederick Vallette McNair IV of Annapolis, MD, Lailee McNair Bakhtiar of Annapolis, MD, Bruce Bakhtiar McNair (Leslie) of Bethesda, MD, David Duer McNair of Annapolis, MD and James Jeffreys McNair of Annapolis, MD.; and her grandchildren, Alexandra Pahlavi McNair Quinn (Don) of Raleigh, NC, Frederick Vallette McNair, LT Seth Jeffreys McNair, Soraya van Dillen Coppolino (Stephen) of Bethesda, MD, Hague Bakhtiar van Dillen (McKenzie) of Woodinville, WA, Marshall Esenwein McNair (Kristin) of Washington, D. C., Bruce Bakhtiar McNair, Jr. (Sheridan) of Brooklyn, NY, Matthew Enoch McNair of Annapolis, MD and Daniel Malachi McNair of Annapolis, MD. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home (147 Duke of Gloucester St, Annapolis, MD 21401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bay Area Community Church (884 Chesterfield Rd, Annapolis, MD 21401).
