She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Marshall J. Smith and Bernadine Baier Smith; her husband Jack R. O'Brien, Jr. of Council Bluffs; her sons, Jack III (Jessica), Patrick (Lindsay) and Timothy (Anna); and her siblings, Michael, James, David, Kevin, Mary Ellen Williams and Carolanne Brunshidle. She was also cherished by 32 nieces and nephews; Kathi's many in-laws; and her honorary "adopted" son.
