She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Douglas S. Carr, Jr.; her children, Heather Carr Reiter (Tim) of Whitinsville, Ian D. Carr (Anne Marie) of Centerville, MA, Bonnie Carr O'Neill (Bryan) of Starkville, MS and Meagan Carr (Aaron) of Whitinsville; her grandchildren, Andrew, Keith, Maggie, Timothy Reiter, Doug, Tricia, Sean Carr, Rex O'Neill, Kailyn and Izzy of Washington; her siblings, Barbara LeClaire of Milford and William Hayes; and her parents, William F. Hayes and Marion Hayes (Messier). She was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Northbridge Association of Churches Food Pantry, 20 Highland Street, Whitinsville, MA 01588.

“Doug and Heather- it was just recently I learned of Jo-Anne's passing. If my parents were still with us I'm sure they would be saddened. My father was a boyhood friend of Doug Sr, my mother knew Nora and Mrs Lamay, she lived not far from them on Delray Gardens. And I think Mrs Lamay was a friend of My great Aunt Minnie. So we have some long-time connections with the Carr's. My father used to say he went to Doug Sr's grandmother's house for cookies after school. Im sure a lose to you Laura Hanny”
