He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Smith Murphy; his brothers, John and Danny Murphy of New York; his children, Annemarie Brimmer (Brad) of Simsbury, CT, Mary Ellen Cortellini (Louis) of Poway, CA, Bernie Murphy, Jr. of Stoughton, MA, Rosheen Secor (Glen) of Westford, MA and Susan O'Connor (Danny) of Fairfield, CT; and his parents, Patrick Murphy and Annie McKenna Murphy. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
