He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ward and Elizabeth Ward (Noah); his brothers, George and James Knowles; his mother-in-law Jean Bannish (Gogulski); and his brothers-in-law, Henry Bannish Jr., Fredrick Bannish and Peter Bannish.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Trainor (Matt) and Christopher J. Ward (Patricia Furst); his granddaughter Lila Jeanne Trainor; his siblings, Michael Ward (Cathy), Jane Hovnanian (Joseph), Jerry Knowles (Lorraine), Donald Knowles, Ann Marie Price, Charles and Paul Ward; and his siblings-in-law, Mitch Bannish (Karen), James Bannish (Nancy), Steven Bannish (Carlene), Joan O'Brien, Robert Bannish, Carolyn Mastroianni (Mark), Sally Bannish and Joan Bannish. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
