She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Toporowski and Jennie Toporowski (Augustyniak) of Mary's Parish Church; her husband Robert J. Garcia; and her brother Leon Toporowski. She is survived by: her children, James Garcia (Debra) of Westfield, Deborah Balser (Tim) of Westfield, Christine Sico (Danny Sico) of Huntington, Linda Garcia (Jake Patla) of West Springfield, Lori Bowen (John Bowen) of Westfield and Michael Garcia (Amanda Konsewicz) of Westfield; her siblings, Marion Zomek (Stan Zomek) of Westfield, Joseph Toporowski (Elaine Toporowski) of Montgomery and Theresa Terczyak of Springfield; her sister-in-law Janelle Wood (Michael Wood); her cousin Ann Marie Yager (Hasbrouck); her grandchildren, Jessica Stanwood (Jeffrey Stanwood), Karen Raymaakers (John L. Raymaakers III), Michael Bowen, Matthew Bowen, Meghan Bowen, Payton Billow and Morgan "Mo" Patla; and her great grandchildren, Jaxon, Joelle, Ella and Jack. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Elaine's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
