She was predeceased by: her brother Charles McCarthy; and her parents, Lieutenant Charles McCarthy (Boston Fire Department) and Mary McCarthy (Hackett). She is survived by: her husband Donald; her children, Dr. Douglas Olson of Connecticut and Kristen Mahoney (James) of Hyde Park; her sisters, Patricia Vogel (Paul) of Virginia, Mary Nikolaides (late James) of Dedham and Ann Gallagher (Robert); and her grandchildren, Matthew and Lindsey Mahoney. She is also survived by in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, friends and former co-workers.
